You will feel immediately relaxed as you smell beautiful essential oils as you enter our quiet, purpose built studio at the rear of a private home in Parkville. We offer simple, practical and honest advice combining the highest quality services and products available.

We guarantee you will feel better when you leave than when you came in, or the appointment is free of charge. If you are later unsatisfied with a product or service, you have the choice of: 100% refund, exchange or a credit towards your next service.

 

Are men welcome?

Yes indeed! We welcome men and have a large number of loyal male clients enjoying skin care services, massage treatments and waxing services. Fortunately, for our waxing services, our studio is fully insulated and sound proofed if anyone happens to scream.

 

How do I choose my treatment?

All our services aim to relax, rejuvenate and revive your face and body using only the best therapeutic grade essential oils. If you are not sure, just book the time you want (eg: 60 or 120 minutes, etc). A quick consultation will highlight your specific needs and we’ll design a treatment just for you.

 

Where are you located?

Conveniently located fifteen minutes walking distance from the city, make Ritual & Remedy your inner city escape. Located in Gatehouse Street, Parkville – this street is a continuation of Kings Way, just past Flemington Road. We are directly opposite Royal Park – only minutes away from the Royal Childrens’ Hospital.

 

Where do I park my car?

I’ll let you know when you book if I have a spare permit for parking.

Otherwise:

For appointments less than 2 hours - Bayles Street and Morrah St (both running directly off Gatehouse Street) have 2 hour parking spaces available.

 

For appointments longer than 2 hours –  There are 4 hour parking spaces further up Gatehouse Street (towards Royal Parade). If you are having trouble finding a park, give me a call! Park directly outside our house and we’ll arrange something for you.

 

How can I pay? Do I get health fund rebates?

Pay by cash, eftpos and credit card.

 

Being a qualified massage therapist (Cert IV), we are covered for most major funds. Check with your health insurer to see if you are covered for this and enjoy the immediate savings.

 

What can I expect when I arrive?

You are welcomed at the front door and taken to our private studio. You then change into a soft cotton robe. I then learn more about you to ensure your treatment is perfectly suited to your needs. You then are left to slip into your warmed treatment bed.

 

What amenities do you provide?

We provide robes, toiletries, a hanging area for your clothes and a space for your personal belongings.

 

What do I wear during a massage?

Guests usually leave their underpants on. Draping techniques ensure your privacy is maintained at all stages of the massage. You have plenty of time to undress in privacy and get comfortable on the treatment table. I will then knock and ensure you are ready before entering the room.

 

What is the procedure for booking my first treatment?

Call me. For your convenience and to save time when you visit, print out the 1st consultation form, fill this out and bring it with you to your first appointment. Otherwise, you can fill this in when you arrive.

 

What if I can’t speak to you when I want to book my first service?

Text me anytime, from 8am to 10pm Monday to Sunday. Usually, I respond immediately or within a few hours.

 

What if I need to cancel my reservation?

Call me or text me as soon as you can. I request you give us 24 hours notice as we are often unable to fill your reserved appointment time at such late notice. We appreciate your understanding.

 

What if I have special health considerations or allergies?

Please let us know any concerns you may have when booking your treatments, such as allergies, colds, flu or skin conditions.

 

What if I am pregnant?

I have had extensive experience in pregnancy massage. We have beautifully designed treatments that are safe from 12 weeks of pregnancy onwards.

 

What if I am late for my appointment?

Please let me know you are delayed by calling or texting me, as this can happen. Arriving late will unfortunately limit the time of your treatment.
